Nordic International School Trollhättan

Nordic International School Trollhättan is a Swedish school with an international profile for years 4-9. We believe that order and discipline create an optimal learning environment. We impart bilingual education in both Swedish and English and use teaching methods that are supported by international research. The school was founded in 2019, currently has 145 students and 15 employees and is located at Swedenborg Center, Lasarettsvägen 9.

This fall, we are starting a Nordic International School in Trollhättan and we are now opening applications for support staff positions. Our school will offer grades 4-9 and will be located on Lasarettsvägen in Trollhättan. We are looking for employees who together with teachers and additional staff are willing to take on the challenging task of building an international school from the ground up. Our vision is a modern school based on high academic expectations, structure and order and teaching with roots in modern educational research.

Our first school was founded in Norrköping in the fall of 2017, we started our second school in Karlstad in 2018 and now Trollhättan is next.

We are looking for staff with the following skills:

  • Administration
  • Special education teacher
  • School nurse
  • School counselor
  • Educational guidance counselor
  • Caretaker

You are able to work together and cooperate in a team, as a lot of your work will impact others. Development will occur with colleagues within your school but also in time with other schools within Nordic International.

You possess solid communication skills in interactions with students, parents and colleagues.

You have the ability to deal with and adapt to change as the school and organisation are newly started.

You have the ability to take initiative as your role involves in part developing a new organisation.

You should preferably be bilingual with English or Swedish as your native language.

You must contribut to a positive working environment in regards to both the physical and social atmosphere and well-being of the school

You can lead or participate in joint developmental projects

Terms and conditions

We have a collective agreement and apply “FERIETJÄNST” for teaching staff and SEMESTERTJÄNST for support staff.

A criminal record check is obligatory.

The start date is August 2019.

Interviews will start immediately, and the appointment may be filled before the application time is over.
